Mt Hood Summer Camp 2024

Why come to summer camp?

Skill Development: Summer camps provide dedicated training time outside of the regular season, allowing athletes to refine their skiing techniques, work on specific skills, and improve overall performance.

Physical Conditioning: Training during the summer helps athletes build endurance, strength, and agility, which are essential for competitive skiing.

Mental Preparation: Summer camps offer athletes the opportunity to focus on mental conditioning, including goal-setting, visualization, and overcoming challenges, which are vital for success in ski racing.

Equipment Testing: Athletes can test new skis, boots, and equipment to find the best setup for the upcoming season, ensuring they have the competitive edge on the slopes.

Team Building: Ski race camps bring together athletes, coaches, and support staff in a focused training environment, fostering teamwork, camaraderie, and a competitive spirit among participants.

Overall, a summer ski race camp is important for athletes to hone their skills, improve physical fitness, mentally prepare for competition, test equipment, and build strong team bonds, all of which contribute to success on the slopes during the competitive season.
