The first race weekend is almost here! In prep for the weekend, we have created some notes below:
Parents at races: Article from Jim Taylor
Fact sheets: Fact sheets for races can be found on the region website under "weekend race schedules". This should be your resource as these sheets can change and often contain important race information.
Schedule: In general, our club will always plan on meeting by the chairlift 1 0minutes prior to it opening to athletes. We will do a group warm-up during this time.
Most evenings after racing there is a Team Captains Meeting that our coaches attend. During this meeting updates to the race are discussed. It will be common for coaches to send out a remind for the next day's schedule based on info discussed in this meeting. Please note that sometimes these meeting are not complete until after 7pm so information can come out late in the evening.
Special notes for Nubs venue:
All racers and parents are to use the "Brown Bag" room in the lower lodge for staging prior to the race. We are not to use the soft seating that has been used in the past. Race Headquarters will also be located in the Brown Bag Room.
IMPORTANT: THERE IS NO SKIING ON THE FRONT HILLS UNTIL 9am!!! You will ride the chair to the top and go the the warm-up area to ski until 9am;Smokey, Chute, Valley, SnoPro are all off limits!
